Ajalee Matus, LPC-IT
Licensed Professional Counselor - In Training
My passion is to help people find the confidence and compassion within themselves to love who they are and become the best version of themselves. I believe that people have the power within themselves to learn, heal, and grow. If a client wants to change something about themselves, I believe with the right guidance they can achieve that. The world around us is constantly changing and we are trying to adapt to that change in a way that works for us. My goal as a counselor is to help provide insight, self-awareness, and tools for your toolbox so you can create the life you want to live.
When it comes to theoretical orientations, I tend to use a combination of different approaches to fit each client's individual and unique needs. These approaches include person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
